An attached garage is going to cost you more than that. For a single car garage that is attached to your home, you can expect to pay about $7,500, and the cost will go up from there, depending on how large of a garage you’re wanting and what the features you’re hoping to add on are.

There are lots of different reasons for wanting a garage. The main purpose, is the convenience. Having a garage is a convenience that we often take for granted. How to build a garage properly
As mentioned earlier, it’s entirely possible to add a detached garage to your home from a prepped garage kit. This is a more affordable option and it will save you the trouble of having to plan and build the garage yourself, or hiring someone to do it for you. This option, however, leaves very little room for customization. The only things that you’ll be able to customize, are the windows, doors, and floors. These are things that will affect the overall aesthetic of your garage, but won’t really affect the functionality of it.
You also have the option to hire help (or do it yourself, if you’re particularly handy) to build a garage for you. This garage can be either attached or detached, and really is a matter of personal preference and what would work better for you and the layout of your home.
